Description

Haynes 25 (L-605 / UNS R30605) per AMS 5537. Co-Cr-W-Ni solid-solution strengthened cobalt superalloy. Good oxidation resistance to 980 C. Better elevated-temperature strength than wrought Co-Cr-Mo alloys. Standard for gas turbine combustion liner components (higher temp than Inconel 625), high-temperature springs (Co base retains elasticity above Ni alloy limits) and certain surgical implant applications (Co-Cr-Mo biocompatibility).
